Sun City Carolina Lakes Tournament
Veterans Day November 11, 2011
A traveling team of 15 Sun City HH pickleball players made the journey to compete in a pool of 73 teams at the Sun City Carolina Lakes Veterans Day Tournament. Participants included Ardene Clark, Julie & Bruce Clements, Patti Collins, Bob & Nancy Grueser, Roxy Holub, Mary Claire Horner, Sherry Baby Jackson, Joann Kenny, Ken (and his brother!) Kiurski, Jean McNamara, Cindy Menegay, Gayla Miller and Tom Rinehimer. It was a great experience for all, as the tournament was extremely well-organized and player-friendly in every way.
Our group carried home the following medals:
Mixed Doubles 50-57 GOLD-Gayla & Bob
Mixed Doubles 58-64 GOLD-Sherry Baby & Ken SILVER-Roxy & Tom
Mens Doubles 50-64 GOLD-Ken & Dan Kiurski BRONZE-Bob & Tom
Womens Doubles 50-57 GOLD-Sherry Baby & Gayla
Womens Doubles 58-64 GOLD-Roxy & Nancy
Women's Doubles 65+ SILVER: Mary Claire & Ardene
