2010 Fall League - Ladder League Explaination and Rules
Hi Folks,
A number of you have advised you were not familiar with how a Ladder League works, so I have attached the “Pickleball 2010 Fall Ladder League Rules” to be used if we have a Ladder League dependent on sign-up interest.
I have also shown the key points from the rules below. Please take special note that we would use the Rally Scoring method (every missed shot or fault is a point). Typically a Rally Scoring game takes 8-10 minutes to play. A division would always play at the same time of day and the same day of the week during the league season. Each player plays with different players and against a different team of players in each of the 7 games.
· It is the responsibility of the player to get a substitute player of equal or one skill level
below, if he or she cannot play that week. He or she will forfeit their games if they do not
have a replacement for that week.
· Statistics will be based on a player's individual win/loss record. Statistics will be
calculated as follows: Number of total wins divided by number of total games played, to
two decimal places.
I hope this helps you understand how a Ladder League works and if you have any additional questions I suggest you come out to watch the Summer Ladder League play through July from 6-7:30 PM every Monday through Thursday. There are also 4:30 PM start times for Monday and Wednesday games.

Each player plays with different players and against a different team of players in each of the 7 games.
- Each week, at the start of division play, every player will select a card, 1 thru 8, to determine their player number. Once you have your player number you follow the court schedule.
- The league will consist of divisions having 8 players per division.
- Play will be within the division using a round robin format playing 7 games, once a week, to 15 points, using the rally point system. You must win by 2 points. The rally point system means your team does not have to be serving to win a point. Either team will be rewarded a point after a rally has ended.
- The league will have numbered division designations and there may be Women, Men and Coed divisions by rank.
· It is the responsibility of the player to get a substitute player of equal or one skill level
